Hardware Keyboard Companion (HWC) configures the HWC Keyboard custom keyboard on iPhone and iPad.

Initial Setup

Open the companion app once after install.
Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards.
Add HWC Keyboard.
Enable Allow Full Access.
Open any app with a text field and switch keyboards with the globe key.

Allow Full Access is used only so the companion app and the keyboard can share on-device settings through the local app-group container and support optional keyboard haptics. The current build does not use this permission to send typed text off device.

What To Check If It Looks Wrong

Reopen the companion app and confirm the readiness or sync state.
Verify that the keyboard is enabled in iOS Keyboard settings.
Remember that iOS replaces third-party keyboards in secure text fields.
If testing on iPad with external hardware attached, enable the on-screen keyboard if needed.
